Golf

The challenge of golf is to accept that you are imperfect (Jack Nicklaus).

But the Vaucluse region has everything you need to plan the golfing holiday of your dreams when you stay at Domaine de Four de Cony. The Saumane de Vaucluse golf course is just two minutes from our estate.

The Saumane golf course, located in the hills of the Vaucluse, is a magnificent 18-hole Par 72 course over 6191 metres, set in natural undulating rocky landscapes and regularly crossed by the Canal de Carpentras. The somewhat atypical landscape was the inspiration for Jean Garaïalde, who designed the golf course in 1989, emphasising the remarkable views over the Durance plain, giving access to the Luberon regional park to the east and offering a view of the Alpilles Massif on the distant horizon.

Other golf courses are also available:

  • 33 km (40 minutes) away, the Pont Royal golf course at Mallemort near Aix-en-Provence
  • 50 km (60 minutes) away, the Domaine de Manville golf course at Maussane- les-Alpilles, Baux de Provence

Cycling

A trip to the heart of the Vaucluse, a region rich in history and with an incredible heritage, is one of the most fascinating and charming destinations in France. You have a unique opportunity to discover these magnificent villages and areas by bike.

If you would like to cycle during your stay, Four de Cony strives to make cycling a harmonious experience, without disturbing other guests or our internal organisation. Therefore, we ask real cycling enthusiasts to let us know their intentions before booking so that we can guide them as best we can, both in terms of accommodation and the organisation of their daily cycling itinerary.

Whether in the mountains for the more experienced cyclist, or on the plains for the more leisurely cyclist, we have a selection of routes for you to explore on your own.

Your hosts know their region inside out and can provide you with all the information you need to make your cycling outings a success (weather forecast, address for bike hire, etc.).
